GoldenHome International, Inc. Establishes North American Headquarters in Concord, NC
GoldenHome International, one of the world’s leading residential cabinet makers, today announced plans to establish its North American headquarters in Concord, North Carolina.
The company, which produces premium quality, name brand cabinets for the global markets, plans to base production, business operations, R&D, distribution, marketing and training at its new outpost in The Grounds at Concord. This will create 257 jobs over the course of the next five years and includes a capital investment of $86 million.
These new jobs will offer an average salary of $42,593 per year, creating nearly $11 million in annual payroll from now until 2025. The company will begin hiring executives, interior designers, production operators, sales, and IT in 2021. The Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is confident in our community’s ability to provide the necessary workforce for GoldenHome’s success here in Cabarrus County.
“We are excited to welcome GoldenHome to the Charlotte Region,” said Charlotte Regional Business Alliance CEO and President Janet LaBar. “Even among the current pandemic, this foreign direct investment is strong affirmation of the region’s skilled workforce, affordability, and accessibility and movement of goods and people. Congratulations to the City of Concord, Cabarrus County, EDPNC and Department of Commerce on the addition of this manufacturer to our community.”
“The Concord City Council and I are extremely pleased with the decision of GoldenHome in selecting The Grounds at Concord for their new North America Head Quarters, intelligent manufacturing facility, R&D facility and showroom,” added Concord Mayor Bill Dusch. “Last year, I along with other leaders in our community were able to spend several days learning about GoldenHome with their owners, managers and coworkers. We were impressed not only by their innovative, high-tech kitchen, customized closet systems and their methods of operation but just as importantly, their desire to be actively involved as a member of our community. We welcome GoldenHome and look forward having them call Concord, Cabarrus County and North Carolina home.”
Additionally, GoldenHome has received a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG), approved by the state’s Economic Investment Committee earlier today. The grant includes a 12-year term, during which the company is estimated to grow North Carolina’s economy by nearly $526 million.
“We’ve talked about it for a while and now the community can see—a shift is happening at The Grounds at Concord,” said Board of Commissioners Chair Steve Morris. “GoldenHome is a world-class company that makes strategic investments. They see Cabarrus County as the optimal location to expand their international presence. Their high-end products are impressive. It’s an honor to have them in our community and to work together on Project Grand.”
The CEDC looks forward to positive economic impact that GoldenHome will provide our community and its residents. For continued updates on GoldenHome’s presence in Cabarrus County, visit cabarrusedc.com.
