Two Local Manufacturers Team up to Produce Hand Sanitizer

Similar to companies throughout Cabarrus County who pivoted to provide medical supplies to the community, including Hydromer, Inc. and Hem Mills, two local Huntersville manufacturers have modified production to meet our region’s needs. The Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is honored to shine a spotlight on Mammoth Machine and Design, a contract manufacturer, and Murto Made Distillery for their efforts.

“Mammoth is proud to team up with our favorite local distillery, Murto Made, to produce and distribute high-quality surface and hand sanitizer,” said Mammoth’s George Brinzey. “Our recipe will be Formula 1 (80% ethanol blend) in accordance with the Word Health Organization, utilizing FDA approve ingredients from domestic suppliers.”

Mammoth and Murto Made are offering full barrels of sanitizer at $1,500 with free delivery within a 100-mile radius of Huntersville (28078), including Cabarrus County. Each local delivery will be provided by Streetside Classics, in one of their classic hot rod trucks.

Sanitizers like these are just one example of the many products that local manufacturers are making to help support the medical community. Others include 3D-printed face shields, surgical masks, acoustic insulation, and more. It is so encouraging to watch the industrial community come together like this during a time of great need.

“Our mission is simple, to support all of the heroes that are risking their health to fight this pandemic,” said Brinzey. “That is why for every 55 gallons of hand sanitizer purchased, we will donate two, five-gallon buckets to the first responders of your choice.”

These local Huntersville manufacturers are offering this opportunity on a first come, first serve basis. For more information or to place an order, email george@mammothmachine.com or call 704-533-0647.
