The Cabarrus Arts Council is located in the Historic Cabarrus Courthouse in downtown Concord, it provides the community with opportunites for performing arts, symphony concerts and festivals. The arts center, also located at the courthouse, provides galleries for regional and national touring arts exhibitions.
Kannapolis Summer Concert Series
The City of Kannapolis offers a Summer Entertainment Series that includes outdoor concerts, movies and storytelling at the Village Park amphitheater.

The Old Courthouse Theatre provides quality, award-winning community theater. The Historic Courthouse orginated in 1976 and has provided the region with years of excellent performances and tradition.

The Showplace of Kannapolis is the oldest single-screen movie theatre in operation today. Recognized as a historic landmark, the GEM has seen improvements and renovations and stays true to its roots. One of the only places you can see first-run movies and sit in the balcony.
Reed Gold Mine - www.reedmine.com
Twelve-year old Conrad Reed made the first gold discovery in America at Reed Gold Mine in 1799. The 17-pound nugget was used as a doorstop for three years before his father sold it for $3.50. Tour the Visitor’s Center, the restored underground tunnels and reconstructed stamp mill, hike and explore the Talking Rocks Trail, see gold and mining exhibits, and pan for gold. Reed Gold Mine is a National Historic Landmark.

Bost Grist Mill - www.bostgristmill.com
Bost Grist Mill has been serving the surrounding counties and communities since the early 1800’s. On the National Register of Historic Places, the restored mill is filled with original equipment and artifacts. They specialize in the packaging of traditional cornmeal and grits while sharing the Bost Grist Mill’s rich history and importance to Cabarrus County.

This winery features sweet Muscadine wines, which is indigenous to North Carolina, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon. There is a gift shop on site featuring works by local artists and wine tastings are available daily.
