Town of Mount Pleasant

The Town of Mount Pleasant is located in the eastern part of Cabarrus County, and was founded in 1848.  The town has a scenic historic district with buildings dating to the mid-1800s. Like many other southern towns, textiles play prominently in Mount Pleasant's past and there are several former mill buildings standing as proud testament to that history.

Although still a rural farming area, the community is well connected via Highway 49 which runs along the northwestern edge of town. The area has large tracts of land and suitable utilities which could be just the space your company needs to grow, but still be within the minutes of Charlotte.
